1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Messager (the "Platform"), operated by Messager, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. About Messager
Messager is a community platform where approved creators ("Messagers") share uplifting messages with followers. Browsing, following, liking, and sharing messages is free. Optional donations support Messagers and charitable causes. Messager facilitates payments but is not a charity, bank, or money transmitter.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for your account credentials and all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Messager may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, our community standards, or applicable law.
4. Content, Community Standards & Moderation
You may not post or share content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, violent, sexually explicit, fraudulent, misleading, or that promotes harm. Messagers must align with our values of love, wellbeing, and positive community impact. We may remove content, restrict visibility, suspend accounts, or permanently ban users who violate these standards. Users can report content or behaviour in the app or by emailing support@getmessager.com. We review reports and may take action at our discretion. Repeated or serious violations may result in immediate removal without refund of prior donations.
5. Donations, Payments & Distribution
Donations are voluntary gifts processed securely via Stripe. Before you confirm a donation, the amount and how it is split are shown clearly. Unless stated otherwise at checkout, each donation is distributed as follows: 80% to the Messager, 15% to the global charity pool, and 5% to Messager as a platform fee covering operations, security, and infrastructure. Stripe processing fees are deducted before this split where applicable. Donations are not purchases of goods or services and do not guarantee specific outcomes. Vote credits earned from donations are used only to allocate the charity pool — they have no cash value.
6. Vote Credits
When you donate, you may earn vote credits (typically 1 credit per $1 donated, plus bonus credits on larger gifts). Credits let you vote for registered charities to receive a share of the 15% charity pool each quarter. Credits reset at the start of each quarter (January, April, July, October) and do not carry over. Vote credits cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to other users.
7. Messager Payouts & Identity Verification
Messagers may receive their share of donations only after completing identity verification (KYC/KYB) and payout onboarding as required by Messager and our payment partners. Messager may withhold or delay payouts if verification is incomplete, information is inaccurate, or we suspect fraud, abuse, or legal non-compliance. Minimum payout thresholds and supported countries may apply and will be disclosed in the Messager app.
8. Refund Policy
All donations are final and non-refundable except where required by applicable law or at Messager's sole discretion in cases of processing error or fraud. Because funds are allocated promptly to Messagers, the charity pool, and platform operations, we generally cannot reverse completed donations. If you believe a donation was made in error, contact support@getmessager.com within 14 days with your transaction details.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Messager and its suppliers shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Messager is not responsible for the actions, messages, or conduct of individual Messagers or charities listed on the Platform.
